Take the Tom cat in your lap
Do not leave Tom alone when the dog is with it. Remember, dog is notorious for its aggression against cats. It can howl and growl to show the anger but you can pacify it by calling its name and patting it.
Remove the fear of Tom cat
Growling of the dog can embarrass the cat but you can relax it by picking it up on your shoulders. It will feel itself safe and away from the access of dog.
Feed the dog with cat in your lap
Feeding your dog with a treat bone while you are carrying the cat in your lap can make the dog understand that the being on good terms with cats can award him with treats. Practising this for a couple of days can make them friends and will be no more enemies
